How long does processing take?
E-PAN is typically delivered to your registered email within 2–5 working days. The physical PAN Card is dispatched via India Post Speed Post and arrives within 15–20 working days.
Is Aadhaar mandatory for PAN application?
Yes. As per Government of India regulations, Aadhaar-PAN linking is mandatory. Your Aadhaar number will be used for identity verification during processing.
Can I update my photo or signature?
Yes. Select 'Correction / Update in Existing PAN' as your application type and upload your latest photograph and signature during the document upload step.
What if I have already been issued a PAN?
Each individual can hold only one PAN. If you already have one, use the Correction or Reprint option instead of applying for a new one to avoid penalties under the Income Tax Act.
